The buzz and crowds of summer have faded, but there is a lot to do in Newport in the Fall. Spend time between our events seeing some of what the town has to offer. Below are a few of our favorite things in and around Newport:
Newport Mansions - Take an audio-guided walking tour of the beautiful manors of yesteryear, The Breakers is a can’t miss
Sachuest Point Wildlife Refuge - Beautiful bird sanctuary with 2.5 miles of walking trails along the water
The Beaches - It may not be sunbathing weather, but the beaches are still a beautiful spot to go for a walk or do some seaside reading
Newport Cliff Walk - A 3-mile path along the waterfront with panoramic views of the ocean and many of the historic mansions
Bowen’s Wharf and Thames Street - Dozens of local shops and stores, a little for everyone
Midtown Oyster Bar - The Wicked Shrimp appetizer is our favorite
Newport Sticks and Cones - Waffles and ice cream, what more could you need?
One Pelham East - If you’re ever in town on a Monday, see the Bruce Jacques Show
Belle’s - Delicious (and popular) breakfast on the water
